Background

As with all of her race Nisya is naturally gifted with an affinity to magic. This aptitude led her to take up the craft of enchanting when the draenei were still living peacefully on Draenor.

Of course this all changed during the war between her people and the corrupted orc clans. Luckily as a civilian she was spared much of the harshness of war as she went into hiding. When the time of the escape came and Velen led the assault on the Exodar she was one of the many draenei refugees to follow behind the draenei army in their attempt to flee Draenor.

The fate of that escape is well known to all. Following the crash of the Exodar, Nisya realized that the situation of her people was indeed a dire one. Stranded on an unknown new world, beset on all sides by the fierce wildlife and the corrupted blood elves she knew that her race would need all the fighters that could be mustered. It was then that she decided to answer the call and take up arms in defence of her new home.

Being an experienced enchanter she chose the obvious path, she would study the ways of magic and defend her people with balls of arcane fire a flying missiles of ice. Not a bad choice as it turned out as she advanced quickly in the art of magic because of her aptitude, curiousity and previous experience as an enchanter.

At first Nisya's efforts were focused on securing the Azuremyst and Bloodyst isles in the immediate vicinity of the Exodar but in time her curiosity got the better of her. This led to several months of roaming, honing her skills as a mage and forever in search of knowledge, both arcane and otherwise. It was during this time that she learned of the Ebon Flame, a band of warriors that stood against the evils that plagued both Azeroth and the remnants of her once beloved home, Draenor. So, she sought out one of their representatives and ended up joining their ranks.

As part of her initiation in the Ebon Flame she started an apprenticeship under the tutelage of one of their mages, Toovowelly. After many months of guidance she had learned all that could be taught, and she felt ready to face the perils of her former home. She could not have been more wrong, she could never be ready for the things she would face.. the things she would see..

Though her magic was strong and her knowledge vast the devastation of her former home was a blow that shook her to her very core. Even so, at first she was able to manage, until the time she was sent out to fight against the fel orcs of the Hellfire Citadel. This quest led her to the road that leads east from the citadel, the 'Path of Glory' as you the vile orcs call it. What she had once mistaken for simple gravel as she flew past on gryphonback were instead the remains of an uncountable number of her kinsmen.

This horrifying discovery dealt a maddening blow to her sanity and she was struck with incomprehensible grief. It was at that moment, her mind devoid of all sanity and compassion, that she exchanged the controlled art of frost for the fierce and reckless school of fire. Like a true madwoman she brutally slaughtered every orc within sight, even those that fled from her anguished cries. All were cut down without as much as a second thought, her spells reached far and left nothing but scorched bodies with faces twisted by the pain of their final moments.

It wasn't until all orcs in sight had perished that she regained the slightest sliver of sanity. Though it was enough to keep her from storming into the citadel by herself such a course of events was only barely avoided, instead she opened a portal to the guild hall. Though she created havoc there, covering the entire mage quarters in ice and blowing the door out off it's hinges, she was at last calmed by her friends and her rage turned to sadness.

Aided by her friends and the love of her tiny crimson whelp 'Xavistrasz' she has recovered her sanity over time but her personality remains scarred to this day. Her friendly demeanor has also returned, but she remains focused and ruthless in battle, against orcs she has even been known to act recklessly, as if on the verge of slipping back into the same fury that overpowered her sanity on that fateful day.

In time her tortured soul found peace as a crusade was organized to cleanse the Hellfire Peninsula and Nisya was there to end Magtheridon's life with the help of her friends. She was finally able to redeem the innocent dead and with the lifeless body of Magtheridon at her feet her own urge for vengeance subsided.
