Physical Appearance
Aatu stands at the height of an average draenei female. Her skin has the typical blue hue to it, which seems to be fading towards white, remarking her as an old draenei. Her hair seems to have darkened over the course of the thousands of years. The horns point upward, the tips of them sharp and the skin rough to touch. The light of her eyes is dim, as if those were covered in a haze blanket making her unable to see.
Her battle armor is dark, at times stained and rarely polished, yet always kept in top condition.
She always has a blindfold over her eyes and often carries a stick to aid her to find the way across the world.
She wears the Kurenai Tabard showing that she too is redeemed.
Personality
With all that she has left behind, she is hardened in the sense of mind as well. She is calm, neutral at most, and views people equal to each other. She rarely questions orders given to her and she shows trust and support to those she is affiliated with.
Professional Skills
Current professions are alchemy (402) and herbalism (450), of which the latter will be replaced by jewelcrafting at some point in the future.
Alchemy
Having had a keen interest towards the botanical essence of each world, Aatu did a lot of research regarding the substances and the ways of making each possible specimen useful. It led her to experiment with different subjects, and she often provided excellent results.
Jewelcrafting
Lately she has shown interest towards more delicate subject, albeit difficult for her to master due to her blindness. However with her personality she drives on to learn the secret of crafting jewels and with her talent the results may wary from being absolutely gorgeous to hideous.
Background
Life on Argus
Born nearly six thousand years before the events that led to the escape from Argus, Aatu’s life was pleasant and favorable. She is the youngest child of her family, and unlike her older sister, she admired their father and she took on herself to protect those she loved. As she only possessed a minor ability to wield the arcane energies, the path of a guardian was the most probable option for her. Even after spending years studying alongside her sister to be one of the scholars of their village, her mind always wandered off with unease.
She proved to be a fearsome warrior in the end, not faltering and remaining strong at all times. One thousand years before the exodus, Aatu befriended with another guardian from the outskirts of Mac’Aree. Their friendship developed into a strong bond, and together they guarded their families. As they both had strong respect towards Velen, it was obvious they would follow his lead when it was time to escape. Aatu had tried to convince her mother as well to follow her to safety, but her warnings were in vain and so her mother became one of the many demonic eredars. But her father would not leave his wife, and Aatu believes that he has faced death in the hands of her mother.
Oshu'gun
As they fled on the naaru ship Oshu’Gun, mourning on the loss of their beloved, Aatu hid in her chambers and wept. She had her sister and her husband to support her, and soon she would stand firm to guard the uncorrupted brethren of hers. It was not long however when she noticed to bear a child, a daughter whom they named Maaria after she was born. Aatu proved to be a very protecting mother over the child, and would at all times ensure her safety from any harm that would come across them during their travels.
One of the worlds they descended on safely was lush with very rich environment and the heaven of botanical dreams. Aatu was amazed at such place, and she was one of the few to do experiments to the essences of the world. It was then she took on interest in alchemy, but frowned at the reckless use of magic many of the draenei committed. For this it was not long the Legion found them and that they had to flee again. Though many fell protecting those fleeing, it was a close call for them to escape once again. In the run Aatu noticed her husband missing, and saw him far away from the ship fighting against the demons. She tried to run to him to aid but it was too late as the ship was sealed before she could leave again.
Mourning on the loss of her husband, she took even more care of their daughter, with her sister aiding her. Her daughter took deep interest in the naaru, and took in the scholarship of an anchorite much to Aatu’s relief. As this eased her mind, she sought to find a way to overcome her emotions. But it was not long when their ship crashed on another world.
Fields of Draenor
Being one of the few that was commanded to scout the area they had landed on, she was amazed by the view that they saw as they left the ship. As the anchorites stayed behind taking care of those wounded, the protectorates spread out in groups and observed the area around the ship. Aatu felt peace and serenity from the world they had abruptly landed upon, and after a long time she finally smiled.
As they began to set up searching a perfect place for them to settle at, Aatu took it to her to explore the area on her own. One eve she stumbled upon a small settlement, a camp of sorts, with a fresh fire burning delightedly in the middle. Realising it was made by the natives of the world she removed her weaponry and set them before her before standing up and straightening her posture. At that moment she felt the tip of an arrow on her skin and crude words being spoken. Soon after a woman came in the view, hastily waving her hand to the man behind Aatu and the felt of being in danger was gone.
Meeting the two orcs was a step to unfold a strong friendship that none of them had expected. It didn’t begin without struggles, for they had no language they shared but Aatu immediately implied the interest in learning it. Over the course of the years they spent together, Aatu became an excellent huntress and tracker, yet she did not neglect her duty as a protectorate.
