Step 1: Interested in joining Ebon Flame? Read this.

The Ebon Flame is, at its heart, a community of friends whose aims and objectives are pretty much in common, not a random collection of people who happen to raid together. Our members are our biggest asset, so our recruitment process is deliberately thorough to make sure new people fit in well.

We are one of the oldest guilds on Moonglade, and one that, unusually for a guild successfully doing endgame raid content, manages to successfully combine roleplay, raiding and a vibrant community. We've managed to form the guild into what it is today by very carefully choosing who our members are; so please understand that this process may take a little time. We want to know a lot about you, and to know that you'll fit in well.

Ebon Flame requirements:

1. An interest in roleplaying your character, even if you have no prior experience. We enjoy all aspects of role playing, but we don't expect you to descripbe your character to the finest detail; as long as you are interested in role playing and respect the RP rules of the realm. If you have absolutely no interest in role playing, go play on a normal server!
   
   
2. Good experience with World of Warcraft, and be actively playing your character.
   
   
3. A willingness to help others. This means sometimes contributing items you don't need instead of selling them, and taking the time to help others out in instances or quests that don't necessarily benefit you.
   
   
4. A brief understanding of, and happiness with, guild policies. These are listed in detail on the members boards but basically mean keeping the guild channel polite and in character, and being generous with guild members. And of course, doing what officers and the guild master ask - within reasonable limits.
   
   
5. Conversational English to a good standard (don't have to be completely fluent)
   
   
6. Aged at least 16 or over IRL. Sorry, but we have to draw the line somewhere, and maturity and intelligence is a large part of who we are.
   
   
7. Interested in raiding to some degree. Whether you want to attend each of our raids or only join the occasional 10man raid is up to you. Your raiding interest and ambition will affect your recruitment depending on our needs at the time.
